Several models of Hollis and Oceanic regulators have been recalled by Huish Outdoors. About 4,500 units in the United States (and an additional 330 in Canada) are affected by this recall, according to the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission.

The regulators with a new HP Poppet can “restrict airflow at low tank pressures (below 500 psi), posing a drowning hazard to divers,” according to the report. Huish states that no incidents have occurred.

The serial number of the first stage is etched into the body, with part and UPC numbers found on packaging.

Consumers with these products should cease use and contact Huish Outdoors at the number below. The products were sold starting October 2017.
