Escape to the idyllic East End of Grand Cayman with an award-winning dive operation and 55 dive sites at your disposal. Over their 30 year history, Ocean Frontiers has come to be known as a one-stop shop for scuba divers visiting Grand Cayman.

To keep it simple, “the boats, dive sites and people make Ocean Frontiers what it is,” says co-founder and co-owner Stephen Broadbelt. What started as a small operation dedicated to hardcore divers looking to escape the hustle and bustle of Seven Mile Beach, has turned into a comprehensive destination enjoyed by divers of all skill levels and backgrounds. With the addition of Compass Point as their on-site dive resort, guests get to experience the convenience of rolling out of bed and hopping on the dive boat. The dive boat experience is unparalleled. New boats feature arm rests, personal mask rinsing stations and underseat gear crates.

“You can come to dive and stay with us on the East End, and still see everything the whole island has to offer,” says Broadbelt.

Since opening in 1996, Ocean Frontiers has continuously evolved to meet the needs of its guests by expanding their offerings beyond traditional two-tank boat diving. One of the highlights is the weekly Three Tank Safari — a full-day adventure that includes a dive on the USS Kittiwake and additional dives en route to and from the wreck. This unique trip allows guests to explore beyond the East End without needing to cross the island by land. In addition to world-class diving excursions, Ocean Frontiers offers a range of non-diving activities like visits to the world-famous Stingray City and the option for a memorable sunset champagne cruise with the rays.

Unspolied dive sites range from healthy coral reefs to deeper wall dives. Snapper Hole, a reef-dive favorite among staff, features a network of canyons, arches and a 200-year-old Spanish anchor surrounded by fish life. While sites like Kangaroo Gorge highlight the healthy coral in this region and rich biodiversity with a swim-through and crystal-clear visibility.

A unique offering at Ocean Frontiers is the Green Short Challenge, or their version of a diving punch-card. The loyalty program is available to all divers and upon diving all 55 East End dive sites, guests will be celebrated with their very own green shorts, a medal and party complete with champagne and cake. Over 500 guests have already achieved this milestone.

With memorable experiences around every corner, it's no wonder divers return year after year to enjoy the unique diving and amenities offered by the world-class staff at both Ocean Frontiers and Compass Point Dive Resort.

Cheers to 30 Years

In 2026, Ocean Frontiers will celebrate its 30th year in operation! Thanks to the divers who have come to love and return to Ocean Frontiers each year as well as the hardworking staff that make such a milestone possible. Be on the lookout for anniversary celebrations taking place throughout 2026.
