This award-winning Nassau dive operation had its beginnings in 1978 with one man — Stuart Cove — and a single Boston Whaler. Today, it is New Providence Island’s leading full-service dive operation. Born and raised in the Bahamas, Stuart Cove can take credit for many of the signature dive experiences here, including wrecks used in Hollywood-produced films such as Into the Blue and Never Say Never Again.

Stuart Cove’s offers daily two-tank dive trips in the morning on the island’s reefs, walls or wrecks. After lunch, divers can also make a two-tank trip or choose to join the specialty dive offered that afternoon. Adventure divers will love the all-day Out Island Seafari option. The boat takes guests to the other side of the famed Tongue of the Ocean to Andros Island. A picnic lunch is included. Depending on interest, one-tank night dives are also possible.

Wreck lovers can explore a number of sunken vessels, including the coast guard cutter Yellow Elder, and Willaurie freighter, the Lady Rosa and the Anthony Bell, all of which Stuart Cove arranged to have sunk as artificial reefs.

Cove also pioneered Bahamas shark diving with recreational divers. Today, the operation’s two-tank Shark Adventure dives are made at either Shark Wall and the Arena or Shark Wall North and the Runway.

This island is also home to more than 30 miles of stunning vertical walls, with most dive sites no more than a 15-minute boat ride from the operation’s marina. Many of the drop-offs start in just 30 to 40 feet of water, making them accessible to divers of all skill levels.

In addition to taking care of all your diving needs, the reservations team can also arrange accommodations with your choice of three hotels, including Breezes, Magaritaville and Orange Hill, from as low as $879 pp/dbl for five nights and three days of two-tank dives.
