Scientists Share their Favorite Fun Facts on Twitter Using #WowScienceFact

Sharks eating polar bears. Cannibalistic crabs. Gigantic sea turtles. Sometimes, the natural world is so amazing, it even shocks the scientists and researchers who study it every day.

That was on full display this week on Twitter, where conservation biologist Dr. David Shiffman called on his fellow scientists to share their favorite "wow" facts using the hashtag #WowScienceFact. The result? A whole lot of interesting facts about nature, marine animals and more.
